Yes, it's March 2011......

I had major computer issues, and now, they are all better, especially on my new computer. It works sooo very well! Maybe I can blog on a regular basis!

I am having a scrapbooking class and this is a layout I made. I love the colors....black and pink are my favorite!

I just wanted to test out my blog and see what this picture looked like. I took it with my phone...so it's not great but it's okay!

I will blog again soon! How I have missed sharing my thoughts!

I have a new hobby....

I scrapbook, I dabble in beads, I like quick crafts. I love cooking, and I love helping my girls make Halloween costumes. I am a busy mom. If I can do it myself, I will try my hardest!

My husband David is a gun lover. He is not a freak or an abuser of guns. He just loves to shoot them. He has a good collection, locked away. He has taught me to shoot, and I have totally enjoyed myself! He is a great teacher..with so much patience. I so enjoy our times alone when we are shooting targets. I love to see him concentrate and figure out his gun. I feel like an extra special student when I am with him. He treats me so kind and teaches me all that he knows. I feel like we are so connected when we have this time alone. I see him...and I get him...and he gets me...even if I sometimes am confused about the big words and the construction of the gun. We are friends. He is so knowledgeable and he just so enjoys his hobby. I am glad that I opened up and gave his hobby a try. I wonder if some day he will scrapbook with me.........nah.......not Dave....but that's okay....he listens and looks at my pages, so that's enough for me!

What are your hobbies and do you share one with your hubby?

Changes.....

Emily my 10 year old.., got her braces off and then the next week, she got glasses! ugh! Talk about changes...she is growing up before my eyes! I am happy, but also sad..I can still see that little toddler learning new things, talking, and playing with toys. Now..I see a pre tween...getting older, learning fractions, telling jokes, talking on the phone with friends, reading books to her sister....ugh! I knew it would happen---but not this fast!! It's great, I love that girl. She is smart and sweet and just wow! I just miss that little girl..that loves mommy all of the time! I hope she will always love her mommy..(not just to wear my shoes either!) haha! ugh..yes, she can wear my shoes! I am going to savor every minute with her...and her sister. They are beautiful and they mean so much to me. I hope we stay close throughout our life on this earth. I am very blessed and am very thankful to God for my daughters. Makes me proud to be a mom!

A Spring Break Treat

We didn't go anywhere for Spring Break this year. I usually try and do fun things with the girls; come up with "Hat Day, Pajama Day, Picnic in the Living Room" and stuff like that. It's been fun but..I don't think another year of that would be fun anymore! So...I decided to take them to get their nails done! I think Sarah smiled the whole time she was there. That was worth it all! This was her 1st time getting a manicure, but Emily has had it done before. They were so happy. It was a simple thing, but boy..they were just thrilled! It was fun. I love seeing them so happy.
They are growing and acting so much older. We shopped the other day, and we had a ball.....they tried on Easter dresses and it was just funny to see Sarah strut her "stuff". They are so cute and sweet, I know they will get older and it won't be the same, but I am totally enjoying them right now. I can still pick out a sweet dress, and they will go for it. Wait till they are teens! Emily is totally me....glittery, bright and disco looking dresses is what she wanted to try on..but..not for church! Maybe a wedding..but..not church! haha! Sarah went with any and all of the dresses! I will post pictures of that too-- later. That's a whole other story about shoes!
We had a great Spring Break, tho we did stay home and hang out. They played with their American Girl Dolls, and had a good time with some new things they got. They also stayed up late every night, and slept in! So that was a good thing for me! :) Grandma and Granddad got to have them over too. It was all good, and I am just a thankful Mom.....this is what I've dreamed of...my 2 precious girls!

We Surprised her!
My Mom's 78th birthday was March 6th. My sister and I decided to surprise her. We made arrangements and flew into Phoenix on a Thursday nite. Our flights were to be 45 minutes apart, but we ended up landing 10 minutes apart! Ron, (our bro, and his wife Elaine) picked us up from the airport. We were all excited to surprise her! We almost pee'd our pants! haha!
We got there, and Ron got her out of bed...thinking she had gotten a box in the mail...(what a big box at that!) She came into the kitchen and was so shocked to see my sister and I! "What are you doing here..?" is all she could say! "Happy Birthday!"..we said! It made all of our 2010! It was totally worth it. The picture above is all of us at her Birthday dinner at Red Lobster! We had a great time. It flew by.
My mom kept saying "That was the best birthday ever...it really was!" I think it made my year, to see her so happy. And.........I got to go alone...like a mini vacation for this stay at home mom! I was blessed to go, and very thankful to a wonderful hubby. I know he can take care of our girls, (I laid out clothes and made sure they had food...) But he is a great Dad....I had no worries. I am just totally blessed!
I hope that you can do something nice for your mom....it really doesnt have to be a ticket on a plane, it's just time that you spend with her. That is what moms want....time. After all...they sacrificed for us...when we were small; if all she wants is time..then give it to her. Some peeps dont have Moms that are alive and wish they did. Thank you Lord for a mom that loves me!

Happy New Year

Happy 2010! I hope you had a great 2009 and will have an exciting new 2010! This is my girls with our "puppy" Kenna. They love eachother so much! I caught this picture in the morning accidently.....it's cute. I love how they are all on the dog's bed, enjoying eachother.

Do you have any resolutions for 2010? I try not to make resolutions, cuz when I break them, I feel so dang guilty. So this year, I am just going to do better than I did last year. Eat better, work out more, okay..work out...and exercise for my health, read more, laugh more, create more, love more....just do better...and think of others as more important than myself. (and blog more often!)

Huby and I went and saw "The Blindside" last nite....it was a very good, touching movie. Made me think! You should see it. I won't give any info away. But.....if you would have a chance to help someone, would you have the guts to? Would you break away from the normal life that you have and help someone, by giving of yourself and your things? Wow..that is a lot, and a great thing to do for a complete stranger. I want to do that! This year, we tried.......My girls and I made brownies and we took them to the fire department. It wasn't much, but it was something. Something for my girls to learn from. We want to do this more often. It felt good. How can we change someone's life...better yet, how can we change our lives?

I am glad to start out a new year, it's always fresh and new, and there are possibilities every single day. I want to use my time wisely and give to others. What if the whole neighborhood, city, state, country, world did this? What would it be like? I wonder!!

Just something to ponder about! Happy 2010! Do something for someone; and for yourself!
